About Sanjana
I completed a Bachelor of Architecture followed by a Master’s in Sustainable Architecture, where I honed my understanding of spatial design, sustainability, and urban context. Over 13 years of teaching, I have guided students at all levels, helping them transform abstract ideas into coherent architectural expressions, building both confidence and creative skill. My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, structured guidance, and encouragement for exploration. I take time to understand how each student approaches problem-solving and design challenges, tailoring lessons to nurture their strengths while addressing areas for growth. I focus on combining conceptual clarity with practical skill development, ensuring learners feel both capable and inspired. Outside the classroom, I remain engaged in architecture through research, conceptual sketching, and sustainability projects. Teaching architecture is deeply rewarding because I witness students develop unique creative voices, learn to articulate their ideas visually, and gain confidence in solving design challenges independently. Supporting this holistic growth is at the heart of my educational approach.

Architecture becomes deeply engaging when learners understand how spatial design, human needs, and environmental context intertwine to create meaningful structures. My lessons focus on helping students explore form, function, materiality, environmental considerations, and conceptual design development. By integrating visual communication, model-making, and sketching exercises, learners gain confidence in translating abstract ideas into tangible, aesthetically coherent designs. Every lesson is structured to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and creative exploration.
Beginners are guided through foundational concepts such as proportion, scale, basic drafting, and idea visualization. Intermediate learners engage with site analysis, functional planning, conceptual modeling, and presentation techniques to develop clarity in design expression. Advanced learners focus on portfolio-building, integration of sustainable strategies, advanced modeling, and architectural problem-solving, allowing them to refine professional-grade design work. Each session balances structured guidance with creative freedom, ensuring students feel both supported and challenged.
Through architecture lessons, learners cultivate analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and expressive confidence. As students progress, they develop the ability to communicate complex ideas visually and conceptually while remaining sensitive to context and human needs. My goal is to help learners cultivate a strong design identity, combining technical proficiency with imaginative exploration, preparing them for future academic or professional pursuits.
