About Sophie
I am an archaeologist currently studying my PhD at the University of Birmingham. My career goal is to become a lecturer, so I am very driven to gain more experience with teaching and share my skills and knowledge. I have worked in commercial archaeology for about two years and have volunteered on a number of research excavations, alongside my undergraduate and master's degrees from the Universities of Manchester and Cambridge respectively. I have also taught humanities subjects to students from KS3 through to Undergraduate level.

I am happy to teach students of all ages, but I feel I excel from secondary school age through to university level. I approach lessons by tailoring them to the individual needs of the student as much as possible. I like to use a variety of mediums when I teach in order to truly consolidate learning and it is important to me for my lessons to be fun, interesting and affirming.
