About Yeraly

I am a 3rd-year Applied Mathematics student at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Mathematics has been a core part of my academic life, and I have developed a strong ability to explain complex concepts in clear, logical steps that students at any level can follow.
I have hands-on tutoring experience working with students transitioning between grade levels, where I built complete lesson plans, diagnostic tests, and homework assignments from scratch. I do not use generic material. Everything I prepare is tailored to the individual student.
I am originally from Kazakhstan, which gives me a unique perspective when working with students from diverse backgrounds. I understand what it feels like to navigate a rigorous academic system, and I bring that empathy into every session.
I am patient, organized, and results-focused. My goal is not just to help a student pass an exam; it is to make sure they genuinely understand the material so they never struggle with it again.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured, patient, and built around each student's specific gaps - not a generic curriculum.
Before the first session, I assess where the student currently stands and build a personalized lesson plan from there. Every session follows a clear format: review the previous topic, introduce new material with worked examples, then practice with guided problems. After each session, the student receives homework to reinforce what we covered.
I teach grades 5 through 12, covering arithmetic, fractions, algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, and introductory calculus. My focus is on building strong fundamentals first - a student who understands the basics deeply will never struggle with advanced topics.
I have experience building full lesson curricula from scratch, including diagnostic assessments, multi-week lesson schedules, and homework assignments tailored to individual students. I track progress systematically and keep parents informed after each session.
