About Wendell
Hello! I'm Wendell, an Applied Mathematics graduate and current M.Sc. student in Applied Mathematics and Data Science at FGV EMAp.
I have extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant for university-level mathematics courses and have participated in research programs. I am currently a recipient of the FAPERJ Nota 10 Scholarship, awarded to outstanding graduate students in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
My academic work focuses on mathematical modeling, optimization, and applied mathematics. I am passionate about the subject and committed to providing professional, reliable, and high-quality support to every student I work with.

My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, background, and learning style. Whether you are preparing for exams, working through assignments, or looking to deepen your understanding of a subject, I focus on building a solid conceptual foundation rather than relying on memorization.
A typical lesson combines theory and problem-solving. We identify the topics that need attention, work through the underlying concepts, and then apply them to exercises step by step. My goal is not only to help students solve specific problems but also to develop the confidence and intuition needed to tackle new ones independently.
I teach students ranging from high school to undergraduate and graduate levels. Topics include Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Real Analysis, Probability, Statistics, Numerical Methods, Optimization, and other areas of Applied Mathematics.
What sets me apart is my combination of teaching experience, research experience, and advanced training in mathematics, allowing me to explain both the practical techniques and the deeper ideas behind them.
