About Emily
I am an applied mathematics and economics graduate from UConn, who has been living and working in NYC for the past four years. My job is very quantitative, so I am always using my math skills. Math has always been my favorite subject. My love for helping others with math started in grade school when I would help my friends, especially the ones who didn't like math, with our math homework. Math is an extremely important subject, used in our everyday lives and important in helping us grow in our school lives and careers. I love to share my passion for it with others!

Whatever the topic or lesson, I have a knack for breaking down math problems into real-world examples. I find that this helps students better grasp the concepts, while also engaging them and showing the usefulness of math as a skillset.
I have tutored students from grade school through college. I am patient and understanding, especially with those who may struggle in their math classes. At the college level, I mainly tutored calculus classes.
