About Leticia I
Throughout my career I’ve developed a passion for learning and staying curious! I’ve always loved helping others learn—it’s made me patient, clear, and someone students naturally feel comfortable with. I have a background in applied math and experience in both college and the professional world, which helps me connect what we’re learning to real-life opportunities. Outside of tutoring, I’m passionate about movement and creativity. I enjoy running, watching great films, and taking photos for fun. I’m also excited about building a future in the data and AI space and mentoring students from all backgrounds who want to explore careers. Above all, I aim to be someone you can trust, ask questions freely with, and count on for support.

Hi! I’m Leticia, a passionate math tutor with a background in applied mathematics. I specialize in helping students at the middle school, high school, and early college levels build strong foundations and real confidence in math.
My teaching style is supportive and personalized. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simpler, relatable steps using real-world examples and interactive exercises. I believe every student can succeed in math when they feel seen, heard, and encouraged.
A typical lesson with me starts with a quick check-in to understand where you are and what you’re struggling with. From there, we’ll make sure you have a solid grasp of the basics—because a strong foundation is essential as math concepts continue to build on one another. We’ll walk through problems together, break down tricky concepts, and develop your skills step by step. I always make space for questions and encourage active participation so you can take ownership of your learning.
What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and ability to explain things simpler! I also bring in techniques that help with test anxiety and problem-solving speed, which is especially helpful for standardized test prep or timed exams.
