Tutoring Experience:
I tutored Differential Equations for 7 semesters as an undergraduate student. I met with a group of students every week where I would have a lesson plan prepared in case students didn't have prepared questions beforehand. Through this, I built experience in building rapport with students and navigating through the various ability levels and learning styles that each student brought to sessions.

My primary goal as a tutor is to build understanding and get students to a point where they can tackle problems on their own.
I prefer to break things down into steps and getting to understand why those steps were taken (no hand-waving). I'm not the best at concise answers, but I am thorough. I think being patient and working with each student where they are at is something crucial to tutoring and I do my best to implement that in my lessons.
For lessons, I always appreciate any information you can give me ahead of time so I can maximize our time together (what you want to work on, specific problems, the unit you're in, learning style, what you struggle with, etc).
I do genuinely enjoy helping people build understanding in subjects they're struggling with, so please reach out!
