About Madelyn
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their learning and achieve their academic goals. I have experience working with young people through teaching assistant and mentoring roles, and I enjoy creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.
I am fluent in both English and Cantonese and have a strong background in English, Humanities, essay writing, study skills and academic organization. As a university student, I understand the importance of effective study techniques, time management and exam preparation, and I enjoy helping students develop these skills alongside their schoolwork.
I believe every student learns differently, and I tailor my teaching approach to suit each individual's needs, strengths and goals. My aim is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more confident and independent learners.

Hello! My name is Madelyn, and I am a third-year student at the Australian National University studying Finance and International Relations.
I offer personalised online tutoring for primary and secondary school students in English, Humanities, essay writing, reading comprehension, study skills and academic organisation. I am also fluent in both English and Cantonese.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence while helping students develop strong academic skills. Rather than simply teaching content, I work with students to improve their critical thinking, writing ability, study habits and exam preparation. Lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style and academic goals.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes and may include reviewing schoolwork, explaining difficult concepts, working through practice questions, developing essay-writing techniques, and creating study plans to support long-term improvement.
Alongside my university studies, I have experience working with young people through teaching assistant and mentoring roles. I am highly organised and can also assist students with time management, assignment planning and effective study strategies.
My lessons are suitable for primary school students as well as secondary students seeking support in English, Humanities, essay writing and general academic skills.
