About Karen
"Between fiscal policy and the intricacies of game theory, there is a fascinating logic that connects everything. Macroeconomics often feels like a puzzle, but it becomes quite intuitive once you identify the core variables at play.
Having taught 429 students across 13 years, I have seen how quickly concepts like market efficiency or international trade start to click. I bring the same rigour to my lessons that I utilised during my time in the finance industry.
Developing a deep understanding of supply and demand or economic development requires a disciplined mindset. It is gratifying to see university freshmen or high school students finally understand the mechanics behind the diagrams. I am here to help you navigate the nuances of monetary policy. It really comes down to the basics."

"Graph paper sits on the desk as we draw out the curves that dictate our entire global economy. My goal is to ensure that every student, whether in IB Economics or at the ATAR level, feels comfortable dissecting complex models through careful diagram drawing. We will work through the essentials of market efficiency and the real world impacts of fiscal policy in a way that feels clear rather than overwhelming. As someone with an MBA in Finance from the London School of Economics, I enjoy connecting these textbook theories to the actual behaviours seen in the modern marketplace.
We will examine international trade and monetary policy with a focus on logical reasoning rather than just rote memorisation. Game theory basics are also quite fun to explore when you have the right context for the underlying incentives.
I find that this approach makes the study of macroeconomics much more rewarding for university freshmen and A-level students alike. These lessons are intended to be a comfortable space where you can ask questions and explore the subject without any pressure. I look forward to helping you reach your own academic milestones."
