About Amy
I'm a qualified History teacher based in the UK, with a First Class Honours degree in History from the University of Manchester and four years of classroom experience teaching GCSE and A-Level students.
I became a History teacher because I genuinely love the subject — I find it endlessly fascinating, and I believe that when History is taught well, it doesn't just teach you about the past, it teaches you how to think, argue, and see the world more clearly. Those are skills that stay with you for life.
I know from experience that History can feel overwhelming — there's a lot of content to get on top of, essays can feel daunting, and exam technique isn't always intuitive. But I also know that with the right support, every student can make real progress and find genuine enjoyment in the subject. That's what drives me as a tutor.
Outside of teaching, I dabble in art, I’m a huge museum + book lover and a keen mathematician — so I bring a creative, analytical approach to everything I do. I'm patient, enthusiastic, and genuinely invested in every student I work with.

My lessons are fully online, flexible, and built entirely around you. Whether you're just starting your History course, preparing for mocks, or pushing for that top grade in your final exams, I'll design every session around your individual needs, learning style, and goals.
In our first session, we'll chat about where you are, what you're finding tricky, and what you want to achieve. From there, I'll create a personalised plan that makes the most of our time together — whether that's breaking down essay technique, building subject knowledge, working through past papers, or boosting your confidence with the most challenging topics.
