About Andrea

Andrea (Italy, born 1982) has received training in jazz and classical music. He graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatoire, where he studied jazz piano and completed a programme in electronic music in 2010.

In 2009, he was one of the six semi-finalists of the well-known European YPF competition, selected from dozens of young musicians. On that occasion, he had the opportunity to perform at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam.

He has been teaching piano for 20 years, both in the public and private sectors. Alongside his acoustic music practice, he also works in electronic and electro-acoustic music, both as a composer and a live performer.

As a jazz pianist, he is featured on a CD published by Challenge Records (YPF – live at Bimhuis).

As an electronic music producer, he has contributed to numerous releases and performed in Europe, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea.

Online Jazz Piano Lessons – Intermediate Students

Specialized online jazz piano lessons tailored for intermediate and students, focusing on improvisation, jazz harmony, composition, and developing a personal musical voice. Lessons are personalized to your level and musical goals, combining technique, creativity, and expression.

I hold a diploma in jazz piano from the Amsterdam Conservatoire and have over 12 years of international teaching experience in Berlin, including work at an international elementary school and various music schools. My lessons are interactive and engaging, with a professional 4-camera setup allowing students to clearly see:

* Hands from above
* Side angle for posture and technique
* Frontal view for expression and phrasing
* Pedal technique

Main areas of study

For jazz/intermediate students:

* Improvisation and jazz harmony: developing creative expression, phrasing, and stylistic understanding
* Technique and movement: building control, speed, and fluency across the keyboard
* Composition and arranging: creating personal musical language
* Repertoire: jazz standards, modern jazz, and personal projects

For beginners and young students (6–13 years):

* Technique and posture: foundational skills for confident, natural playing
* Sight-reading and rhythmic solfège: reading music independently
* Ear training: recognizing intervals, chords, and melodies
* Repertoire: classical, jazz, and pop pieces based on interest

Digital Music & Production:
For students interested in electronic music, composition, or production, I offer guidance on digital audio workstations (DAWs), integrating piano skills with music technology.
