About Amna
Hi! I’m Amna Kouser, a high school senior who genuinely loves math and plans to study architecture in college. I’ve consistently done well in my math classes, but I believe tutoring should be more than just solving problems. I want students to feel comfortable, heard, and excited to learn.
If a student wants to tell me about their day or share something they’re interested in, I’m always happy to listen! Outside of school, I love cooking and art, and I also practice archery, which always makes for a fun conversation starter. I hope to make lessons feel friendly and relaxed while helping students build confidence and a stronger understanding of math.

My approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student. I break down difficult math problems into simple steps and use examples and practice questions to make concepts easier to understand.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing what the student already knows, followed by learning a new concept together. We then work through examples, practice problems, and finish by reviewing anything they still find confusing.
What sets me apart is that I’m a high school senior who genuinely loves math and understands the challenges students face because I’ve recently been through them myself. I focus on building confidence, not just getting the right answer.
My lessons are mainly for middle school students, especially those learning pre-algebra and beginning algebra who need extra practice, support, or a different way of understanding the material.
