About Peter
Hi, I’m Peter! I’ve spent over ten years living in China, in cities like Beijing, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. My Mandarin journey began during my freshman year of college, and it was during my time in China that I refined my language skills. Through years of practice, I’ve developed practical methods to retain advanced vocabulary and grammar—skills I’m eager to pass on to future Chinese enthusiasts.
My approach to learning Chinese is highly practical. I used Mandarin both academically during my Master’s program and professionally as a Government Affairs Manager for the European Chamber while living in Guangzhou. My language insights were also shaped by my extensive travels throughout China, including an unforgettable bike trip from Nanjing to Qinghai Lake.
