About Rachel
I am a student in London who has lived in Paris, France on and off for the past two and half years. I've studied French at a univeristy in Paris known for its strong French program for internationals, but have been learning French in school and on my own for years. Now, I'm considered to speak, understand, etc. at a C1 level (which is considered advanced by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

I think the hardest part of learning a language is immersion. Of course we cannot all live in a French speaking country to advance our language skills, and that is why it is so important that we surround ourselves with the language in our free time.
I use music, podcasts, books, films, and the news as ways to connect to French. In all these toosl is an opportunity to learn and understand grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, and more. My lesson plans would be to choose a platform and subject matter interesting to the student, and from there creating a lesson plan including grammar, vocabulary, communication, and comprehension.
