About John
I'm an American guy who has literally dived into foreign cultures head first for as long as I can remember. I've worked primarily in Hospitality and Transportation over the years. Traveled extensively. Yet, I'm a regular guy from Jersey. I'm somewhat of a mix between Anthony Bourdain and Tony Soprano, with a slight hint of Homer Simpson. I'm not here to impress you with my degrees. I'm here to get you talking and get you more comfortable with speaking English in any environment.

Although I have many times in my life been in a position of teaching, training, and managing people, I do not come from a typical teaching background. The closest I came to a teaching position was when I was a CDL instructor and taught people how to drive tractor trailers and get their CDL License. But I believe this would be called an instructor, not a teacher. Regardless, I've learned another language just through conversation and I'm more than confident that I could help you do the same. I obviously can't impress you with degrees, certificates or any type of formal credentials. Yet, I'm certain if you were to give me an hour of your time you will be eager to schedule a second appointment.
I will tailor my lessons based on your needs, desires and goals. But my ultimate goal is to not have our sessions feel like lessons. I'd rather they feel like BS sessions. The point of our time together will be for you to practice what you already know, and for me to introduce just a little bit more each time. My sessions would be better suited for someone that already knows at least some English. The exception would be for Portuguese speakers, which I would be better suited to help someone starting from zero.
