About Jessica
I have a Guitar Performance Certificate from the Nashville Music Institute and 8 years of experience teaching guitar to American students across all age groups and skill levels. I specialize in American music styles and understand what American students want to learn - from country and bluegrass to rock and pop. I've helped students prepare for American school music programs, talent shows, and even college music scholarships. My teaching methods use immediate correction during practice sessions, which research shows helps American students develop good guitar technique much faster than traditional methods. I've worked with students from diverse American communities and helped many discover their love for music while building skills they can enjoy for a lifetime.

Guitar lessons focus on the styles of music that American students love most - country, rock, pop, folk, and blues. We start with comfortable hand positions and basic chords that let you play recognizable American songs quickly, because playing music you enjoy keeps you motivated to practice. I demonstrate techniques clearly first, then we practice together slowly, and finally you try playing while I give you immediate help to fix small problems before they become bad habits. Lessons are built around American music you want to learn - whether that's current pop hits, classic rock anthems, country favorites, or folk songs that tell American stories. We set achievable goals for each lesson and celebrate your progress as you master new songs and techniques. I also teach you about American musical history and the guitar heroes who shaped American music culture. If you're interested in songwriting, I can help you learn to write your own music in popular American styles.
