About Jane

I've worked with students whose native language is Spanish, Arabic, or Chinese. I enjoy helping students learn to communicate clearly in American English. I'm experienced with teaching through video/audio online classes and through emails and online docs. Personal communication is essential when living or traveling in the United States.

About the lesson

I use everyday life or school subjects to help students learn to communicate well wherever they are. I don't use workbooks or textbooks because I tailor every study session to the particular needs of every student. Our goal is to communicate easily in spoken and written American English. I have experience working online in various formats. My method is to learn what a student's needs and weaknesses are and to tailor lessons to those. I work with a student's immediate studies in addition to creating lessons for specific learning needs. I ask for a written essay, a reading level test, school test scores and curriculum (if necessary), and a personal conversation to determine how to begin our lessons.

Details

Cancellation policy: at least a 24-hour notice for cancellation without a fee. Cancellation within 24 hours of the class will require a 100% fee. The time I reserve for your class cannot be given to someone else without a 24-hour notice; therefore, I will lose the income for that slot.
