About Samer

Having just graduated from King’s College London with a first-class Master’s degree in Chemistry, I am looking to share my knowledge and guide the younger generation to achieve their full potential. I am looking to teach the sciences, which I am comfortable with and enjoy due to my academic background and passion for the subjects. Throughout my studies, I have always found myself helping friends and fellow peers with their studies. This continued right through to university, where I then saw tutoring as a natural progression from this. Teaching and helping others understand and make sense of problems they initially found difficult drives me and gives me great pride. I have close to three years professional experience in teaching students aged 14-18, who were completing their GCSEs and A levels. My students have consistently shown improvement by achieving higher grades in their final exams and becoming more confident. The teaching style I adopt focuses on identifying and working on the student’s weaknesses, the areas they struggle with most and helping turn them into their strengths. In addition, I ensure a general broad understanding of a topic and at the end of sessions introduce a short learning self-reflection/summary. I am well equipped to teach students of different ages as I can engage and communicate well with them, skills I developed whilst working in Clarks, which revolved heavily around talking and serving children, building a rapport and understanding their needs with their parents. Moreover, communication and openness are key to me, which is why I make myself available to my students who are able to contact me 24/7, and always aim to create a comfortable learning environment. I look forward to hearing from you and having the opportunity to help your child reach their full potential!
