I started learning the piano in my 50s, and I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor than Will. He is incredibly patient, encouraging and understanding, and takes the time to adapt his teaching to my individual learning style.

Will is also very persistent in the best possible way! He keeps me motivated, even when I find something challenging, and always encourages me to keep going. Thanks to his support and guidance, I almost achieved a Distinction in my Grade 1 exam — something I’m incredibly proud of. I’m now working towards my Grade 2, which I never imagined I would be doing when I first started learning.

What I particularly appreciate is that Will doesn’t just teach me how to read and play sheet music. He is helping me become a more well-rounded musician, developing my understanding of rhythm, musicality and how to really enjoy making music.

Recently, Will has also started teaching me drums alongside piano, which I absolutely love! It has added a whole new dimension to my learning and has made my lessons even more enjoyable.

I've had a few piano lessons from Will and I can honestly say I've retained so much from his teaching. I really appreciated him coming up with fun ways to remember certain concepts which has helped me excel in my learning much faster than when I've tried in the past. I have never felt too overwhelmed with the amount I've learnt in a session but I'm surprised by how much we tend to cover in just an hour!
