About Salma
I am in my first year of university studying Law at LSE. I have a perfect A* and A record throughout my GCSEs and A Levels by acting on my own ability and using tailored revision methods to aid my understanding. I have tutored GCSE students whilst studying my A Levels, so am able to teach from my own experience and can acquire teaching methods specific to the needs of any individual. My aim is to ensure that you understand the content well enough to not only regurgitate the information but be able to apply it to any exam question; essentially, creating a toolkit for a range of subjects to give you the academic confidence to attack any question.
My expertise are in English Literature, Geography, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at both GCSE and A Level standard. These subjects have undergone much reform over the past couple of years with harder exam papers, which can become incredibly daunting, especially if you are doing the jump from GCSE to A Level. As I have experienced this myself, I can guide you into revising and learning cleverly as opposed to long, tedious hours.
Ideally, I'd like to teach students not only to revise the content, but how to revise it in a way that can be applied at any angle to attempt any questions. Some examiners purposely make the questions look 'scary' in order to distinguish between the lower and higher grade students. However, with my specific teaching methods, I am able to aid students in 'fleshing out' the important parts of questions to ensure they are on the right track to the correct answers.
As I have studied a variety of subjects from social sciences, English to the sciences, I am able to teach fantastic essay-planning skills in English, Geography and even Biology (A level and GCSE) as well as the meticulous, hassle-free calculation methods in Chemistry, Biology and Physics (GCSE and A Level). I have acquired many tips, tricks and shortcuts in trying to gain A*s in my listed subjects and look forward to passing these on to release the pressure of exams!
My personal experience and clever learning strategies are perfect for those who need a little boost and confidence in their work or need a stronger aid to help build their foundations for revision and exams.
