In effective teaching, creating a dynamic environment where every student feels valued and empowered is key. This involves celebrating diversity and incorporating diverse voices and experiences into the curriculum. A focus on holistic growth, empathy, and cultural richness guides the learning process. Students are seen as multidimensional beings with social, emotional, and cognitive needs, and teaching methods prioritize authentic expression, curiosity, and critical thinking. Social-emotional learning practices are integrated to support students' mental health and resilience. Additionally, a Sociolinguistics and Systemic Functional Linguistics approach is used to teach Common Core, integrating reflective journaling, metacognitive strategies, and multimodal assessments to cater to diverse learning styles and prepare students for the future.
