My teaching approach for Algebra is centered on number theory and its applications. I cover divisibility, prime numbers, Euclidean algorithm, and fundamental theorem of arithmetic with detailed proofs and examples. I teach modular arithmetic, including congruence classes, solving linear congruences, and Chinese remainder theorem with step-by-step methods. I cover Diophantine equations, including linear Diophantine equations and methods for solving them, and applications in cryptography and coding theory. I also teach Fermat's little theorem, Euler's theorem, and their applications in primality testing and RSA encryption. I use real-world examples to show how number theory is used in modern technology. I provide detailed notes, proofs, and problem sets. I assign homework that includes both theoretical proofs and problem-solving exercises. I conduct weekly tests and provide feedback on reasoning and clarity. I maintain a progress log and offer additional support for challenging topics. My goal is to prepare you for advanced mathematical studies and research in number theory and cryptography.
