About Rachel

My teaching approach for Algebra is focused on practical applications of algebraic fractions and proportions. I begin with simplification of algebraic fractions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I teach solving equations involving algebraic fractions with step-by-step methods. I cover direct and inverse variation, including solving problems involving proportionality and real-world applications like speed-time, work-days, and cost-quantity relationships. I also cover joint variation and combined variation problems. I use plenty of worked examples and provide step-by-step solutions. I assign homework that balances routine practice and application-based problems. I conduct weekly quizzes to track progress. I maintain a progress log and adjust my teaching pace based on individual needs. My goal is to help you master algebraic fractions and variation problems.
