About JAMES
I have loved math all my life. Many people do not realize how much math is required in day to day living. I have been a teaching assistant at Arizona State University for four semesters. I was able to help hundreds of college students learn and succeed in difficult College Algebra material so they could take the next step in earning their degree. I taught for two years at a private school specializing in both Science and Math courses. I have been a private tutor for over ten years now. I make learning math fun and rewarding. I instill confidence in all my students.

A typical lesson plan depends on each specific student's needs. I inject humor along the way, and I do not fill my students heads with technical nerd jargon. I work with early elementary school students through college level students. I make sure to give my students the most important formulas necessary to solve problems they are working on, and I show them by multiple examples how to properly solve problems. I also add in some life tips and pointers for surviving the school years.
