About Peng

I am a graduate of the Australian Institute of Music (AIM), with formal training in vocal performance and acoustic guitar. My background in both performance and songwriting allows me to teach music in a practical and structured way, rather than relying only on theory.

Over time, I have worked with beginner-level learners, helping them build confidence from the very first steps. Whether it is learning basic chords on guitar or developing pitch accuracy and control in singing. My focus is always on creating a clear and supportive learning process so students know exactly what to practice and how to improve.

I understand that starting music can feel intimidating, especially for beginners who may feel unsure or “not musical enough.” My role is to simplify the process and guide students step by step, so they can see real progress early and stay motivated.

Each lesson is adapted to the student’s pace, ensuring they feel comfortable while still being challenged to improve.

About the lesson

-> Teaching Approach & Methodology

I focus on getting students to play and sing real songs as quickly as possible, without unnecessary theory or confusion. My lessons are structured around one clear goal: helping you perform music, not just learn about it.

We start with the basics you actually need—simple chords, rhythm patterns, and vocal control—and immediately apply them to songs you enjoy. This keeps learning practical, motivating, and easy to track your progress.

For guitar, I break down songs into small, playable sections so you can build fluency step by step. For vocals, I focus on helping you stay in tune, control your breath, and feel confident while singing and playing at the same time.

Each lesson is 45 minutes. This gives enough time to learn a new skill and directly apply it to a full song section.

I am a graduate of the Australian Institute of Music (AIM), trained in vocal performance and acoustic guitar. I also write and perform my own original music, which shapes my practical, performance-based teaching style.
