About James
As a Maths student at Durham University, and someone who achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and A*s in Maths and Further Maths at A-level, I understand exactly what’s required to succeed at the top end. I also know how challenging it can feel to get there — which is why I focus on making my lessons clear, patient, and tailored to each student.
I’ve helped others boost their confidence and improve their understanding, and I genuinely enjoy explaining things in a way that finally makes it click.
Whether you're aiming for a Grade 5 or 9, I’ll help you work through tricky topics, sharpen exam technique, and feel more confident tackling any question.

Hi, I'm James - I offer personalised, friendly Maths lessons tailored to your needs, with the goal of boosting your confidence and helping you reach higher grades.
Lessons can follow my structured guidance or focus on specific topics you're struggling with. I adapt the pace to suit you and make sure everything is clearly explained with plenty of practice.
