I typically start off with a trial session of 30 minutes, where I learn about what classes my client needs help in, what are their struggles, and whether or not I would be a good fit for them. Past that point, I have a lesson plan that goes as follows: 5 mins to find out what the student needs help in, 10 mins to explain the concept in a clear and simple way, 25 mins to go through the problems together, 15 mins for the student to try independently, 5 mins to recap what they learned and what to practice. My demographic is aimed at mostly high school students, although if it is math related I can teach any subject up until pre-calculus.
