About Thomas

I am a 21-year-old Aerospace Engineering student at a French "Grande École" (IPSA Paris), where I specialize in Embedded Systems. My academic path is rooted in the elite French "Classes Préparatoires" system—a curriculum world-renowned for its extreme mathematical rigor and technical depth.

I was raised in a bicultural environment between Martinique (French) and Trinidad & Tobago (English). As a dual-native speaker of both languages, I offer my students a unique edge: the high-level technical precision of a French engineer combined with the native English communication skills required to navigate the linguistic nuances of the American Digital SAT and ACT.

Before transitioning to independent mentoring, I was recruited and vetted by Acadomia and Complétude, France's premier academic support agencies. This experience provided me with a structured, results-driven pedagogical background, ensuring that every session is handled with the professionalism expected by high-achieving families.

I believe that high-stakes tests like the SAT and ACT are not just about what you know, but how you think. My goal is to share the "Engineer’s Logic" with my students—showing them how to deconstruct complex problems into simple, manageable components. Whether you are aiming for a top-tier US university or navigating an advanced IB curriculum, I provide the technical depth and the strategic "hacks" required to succeed at the highest level.

The Engineering Method: Strategy-First Test Prep
I do not teach students to simply "solve math problems"; I teach them to engineer a top-tier score. The 2026 Digital SAT and the ACT are systems designed with specific patterns. My methodology focuses on identifying those patterns and using the most efficient logical path to the correct answer.

1. Strategic Software Integration: Desmos Mastery
The 2026 Digital SAT features a built-in graphing calculator (Desmos) available for the entire math section. Most students use it for basic arithmetic; I teach it as a Shortcut Engine.

-We use Desmos to solve complex systems of equations, quadratics, and functions visually, often bypassing 30–45 seconds of manual algebra.

- I provide specific training on software shortcuts that turn the "Hard Module" questions into 15-second visual confirmations.

2. Synchronous Digital Workspace
Lessons are conducted in a high-fidelity, collaborative digital environment that mirrors a professional technical workspace.

-Real-Time Problem Deconstruction: Using professional annotation software, we map out geometric vectors and algebraic logic in real-time. This allows for a "deeper dive" into the problem structure than traditional pen-and-paper methods.

-Interactive Whiteboarding: The student and I work on the same digital canvas, allowing for immediate correction of logical missteps during "active" problem-solving.

3. Lesson Architecture (60-Minute Performance Session)

-Pattern Diagnosis (10 min): We analyze a high-difficulty question from a previous module to identify the specific logical "trap" set by the test-makers.

-Technique Deep-Dive (20 min): We master the underlying mathematical concept through the lens of efficiency (e.g., using symmetry in parabolas to find vertex coordinates instantly).

-Timed Efficiency Drills (20 min): We solve a set of targeted problems using specific software shortcuts to maximize speed and accuracy.

-The Score Roadmap (10 min): We review the performance data and set specific accuracy targets for the upcoming week’s practice.

4. The "Study Archive" Deliverable
At the end of every session, our collaborative workspace is exported as a high-resolution, searchable PDF. This becomes a personalized "Strategy Guide" that contains every shortcut, annotated diagram, and logical breakdown we developed.

5. Target Curriculums:

-Digital SAT (2026 Format): Specialized focus on the Adaptive Module 2 strategy.

-ACT Math & Science: Strategies for extreme time management and data interpretation.

-Advanced STEM: IB Mathematics (HL/SL) and AP Calculus.
