About James
I have a knack for seeing patterns in numbers and being able to break down abstractions into simplicity. Growing up I was looked at oddly for the intrigue I had for math, formulas, and number abstraction. Well, that it until they found out I might help them; Ha! I am a 2 time competitor at the international Perinneal Math competition as well as a background in tutoring ages 12-18 at my school for 4 I am currently pursuing double major in math and computer science whereby I tutor students at the college I attend. (My math skills are better than my advertising onesie!)

I believe regardless of one’s math ability, they must also be able to understand the gaps in knowledge the people they are tutoring might have. In light of this, I make sure to gather a firm understanding of what their current ability is first. This helps to solidify fundamentals so that building upon anything further is aptly understood. I break down new ideas step by step only moving on when the current step is proficient. Lastly, to gain perspective. I’d take a look back and have one analyze the steps that were taken in the operation.
