About Allen
Classical training began under a mentor from the Royal Academy of Music, shaping how I view the piano today. I hold a Master of Music from the USC Thornton School of Music. Over 12 years, I have refined my ability to teach rhythm, timing, and precise pedaling technique.
My studio excels at preparing students for RCM exams, having celebrated 26 distinctions at Grade 8 and above. I focus on chord voicing and sight playing to ensure you possess a complete musical toolkit. Let us align your technical habits with your ultimate performance aspirations.

Sitting down at the bench, we immediately begin with a diagnostic playing assessment to establish your baseline. This initial session allows me to create a learning plan that reflects your current capabilities and long-term goals.
We examine your existing repertoire to identify areas for growth in phrasing and musicality. My background as a Chopin devotee influences how I teach rubato and the bel-canto style.
You will find that learning Czerny is balanced with pieces that genuinely excite your musical interest. We maintain a focus on exam requirements without losing the joy of the instrument. My Master of Music degree informs the structure of every technical drill we perform.
