About Ashton
I have always had a passion for English, reading, writing, and helping those find that same excitement that I feel after finishing a good book or completing that essay.
I have years of experience working with students 5-18 in a school setting, helping with homework, teaching, planning activities, and creating connections. I also have training and hands on experience working with numerous behavioural and intellectual disabilities and finding new ways to work with youth who may not always fit into the “norm”.
I have also taught many English classes to newcomers and non native speakers from ages 20+.

LEARNING/IMPROVING ENGLISH:
We will develop a curriculum based on your needs which we will work on at your own pace. Lessons can start from whatever level you feel comfortable with. Main focuses:
-Grammar
-Spelling
-Speaking
-Everyday use
FOR STUDENTS GRADES K-6:
With years of experience for all ages, including special needs assistance, we will work at the students pace based on their needs. I will develop a curriculum based on their grade/level and find new and exciting ways to allow them to see the fun in English with interactive activities and games.

-Sentence/Paragraph Structure
-Reading
FOR STUDENTS GRADES 7-12+:
English can be boring, repetitive, and sometimes confusing. Together, we will work on ways to keep English interesting while improving the students abilities. Using a curriculum based on your region education system and combining it with the students likes, dislikes, and more- we can rediscover how English can be interesting and easy!
