About Dr Mistale

I hold a BA (Hons), an LLM (cum laude) and a PhD from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, a leading centre of public international law, and have completed one year of tertiary teacher training. I have over eight years of experience teaching at European universities, four years practicing international law and twelve years editing legal texts, including PhD dissertations.

I am dedicated to helping students grasp complex concepts. My approach is to ensure lessons are personalised and engaging, so students learn effectively whilst genuinely enjoying the process.

About the lesson

I provide tailored support with:

- Developing a clear understanding of key areas of public international law, such as sources of law, subjects of law, jurisdiction and immunities, international criminal law, international humanitarian law, the law of the sea and many more.

- Applying, amongst others, the IRAAC (issue–rule–application–analysis–conclusion) framework to structure legal analysis.

- Thinking critically and writing effectively for essays, long-answer questions and research projects.

- Approaching exams and assessments with confidence through strategy, structure and preparation techniques.

I can adapt lessons according to a student's level, needs and goals.

Above all, I am a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who strives to make a subject I love engaging and accessible for every learner.
