About Amba
I am a professional actor for the stage and screen based in North London. English is my first language and I hold a 2:1 BA degree in Drama and Theatre Practice from The University of Hull.
I have had multiple students where English is not their first language, my students are able to practice speaking and writing in English with me in private lessons either online or at home. We work together in order to build confidence, especially with pronunciation and articulation, making speech clear.

My tutoring style is relaxed and professional and I care about the progress of my students, answering any questions they may have along the way, and we will focus on areas they find particularly difficult.
Each lesson plan is a mixture of writing and speaking exercises, depending on what the student would like to improve on. I believe that it is all well and good to learn the foundations of another language, but if there is nobody to practice it with, actually speaking the language out loud becomes harder to attempt. I can offer to help proof read and correct emails, essays, and presentations and generally help go over any coursework. In terms of speech, I help with accent, articulation and pronunciation.

Details
I keep all my students North London based, and so would recommend booking me online if you're not North London based. The first 60 minute lesson is offered free of charge. Thereafter there is a £5 non refundable deposit made on all bookings upfront to secure your date and time slot. 48 hour notice cancellation policy.
