About Kath

Passionate about her craft, Kath Gordon began teaching acting
over 25 years ago after studying in Hollywood, under such greats
as Shelley Winters. She then went on to perform along side
Angelina Jolie. Kath also gained knowledge from working with ‘A
Lister’ casting directors in Los Angeles. She now has students who
have starred in shows across Theatre, Film and Television
including, Matilda (title role), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (tittle role) Strictly Ballroom,
Ragtime, Oklahoma, The King & I, Edward 11, Les Miserable, The
Lion King, The Sound of Music, Showboat, Chitty Chitty Bang
Bang, The Body Guard, The Boy From Oz, Dream Lover,
School of Rock, Winners and Losers, Utopia, Underbelly and The
Investigators.
With a career spanning more than 45 years, Kath has vast and
eclectic experience as an actor and a teacher, within many facets
of production across the industry. She takes pride in directing
specialised knowledge, inspiring students to rise to their utmost
potential. Kath thrives in an environment where she can make a
difference!

Re: acting classes with Kath Gordon
My children have been doing acting classes with Kath for several years.
My son Liam, was aged 11 when he started classes (until he started high school and couldn't
continue) & and my daughter Freya, started when aged 7,and is now 11. They have very different
personalities and interests.
They both have thoroughly enjoyed the classes and always looked forward to going, but it also
helped them in many ways. We've noticed considerable improvement in their public speaking, in
talking to adults, clarity and intonation in the way they speak and read, articulating and expressing
themselves, and with general confidence.They both improved in their ability to memorise
lines and had a sense of pride and accomplishment at the completion of skits, activities, camera
chats and filming.
On a personal note, Kath has always been positive, inspiring and encouraging. She is patient,
kind and fun with the children, in the way she teaches and speaks to them. We all like and respect
her. On a business front she is professional and has good communication with parents.
For me, it was also exciting seeing footage of what they've achieved, which was beyond all our
expectations. We have been very grateful for all that Kath's done, and look forward to continuing,
