About Kaori

I was born in Fukuoka City in the Kyushu region of Japan. Fukuoka is famous for its delicious food and its "Hakata-ben" dialect. I did my master's degree in architecture/urban design at Kyushu University.
I have travelled many places in Brazil and other South American countries. I fell in love with the culture of Pernambuco, and moved to Olinda where I have been living since 2015. As people asked me for Japanese lessons, I started to study Japanese didactics as a second language. Now I have more than 3 years of experience.
I speak Portuguese (Celpe-Bras Intermediate Certificate) and English (Intermediate).

About the lesson

【Acquire "my voice" in Japanese】

The core lesson activity is a real conversation in Japanese.

You will listen and understand what the other person is saying. Ask questions and deepen understanding. Tell what you want to say and get to know each other more.

By actually engaging in dynamic conversation in a supportive environment, you can develop your ability in a fun, easy, and natural way.

We value each one's autonomy and will create a space for learning together.

[Basic - Intermediate]
Express Yourself in Japanese

# Narrative Approach
By becoming familiar with narrative texts by characters on various topics, you will be able to talk about yourself, listen to and understand others, and have conversations about these topics.

As you practice the text, doing such as shadowing, dictation, etc, you will learn grammar, vocabulary, and kanji within context. At the end of each topic, you write your own narrative essay which will form your unique Japanese language portfolio.

Nice to meet you, Favorite food, I love to travel, Pets, I will try hard at work, My wonderful city, Women and men - work and roles

Have you already studied the basics of Japanese and can exchange short conversations, but feel lost when trying to structure a coherent speech? If so, why don't you try this approach?

[Intermediate - Advanced]
Form your thoughts in Japanese

Once you reach these levels, the topics will expand, such as societal issues, culture, history and literature, according to your needs and interests.

Through activities such as reading, discussion, research, and essay writing, you will learn to express your thoughts on the topics, while enriching your vocabulary; abstract and intellectual words.

Since you can already read, listen and watch authentic content with subtitles and digital tools, you will be able to learn by yourself, absorbing in large amounts of favorite content. But if you want to reach your goals faster, it would be a good idea to take classes and practice. Even if it's an hour a week, it can be a powerful acquisition boost.
