About Thiago
Hello, my name is Thiago. I'm a Brazilian composer and musician, with a degree in Music Pedagogy (IPA University, Brazil), specializing in Music, Teaching and Expression (FEEVALE University, Brazil) and specializing in the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music teaching from the San Francisco Orff Institute (CA, USA).
I'm 40 years old and specialize in Brazilian music, but I also have extensive knowledge of pop, rock and world music.
I believe that learning music should be light, respecting the flow and building theoretical concepts according to the songs we are learning.
It's important to know how to speak before you write, so with me you'll learn how to play and express yourself with the guitar first and foremost. We can build a study plan that focuses on the student's needs and I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun playing together!

Hello, my name is Thiago. I'm a Brazilian composer and musician, with a degree in Music Pedagogy (IPA University, Brazil), specializing in Music, Teaching and Expression (FEEVALE University, Brazil) and specializing in the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music teaching from the San Francisco Orff Institute (CA, USA).
I offer classes in guitar, ukulele, music initiation and music theory for adults and children. My teaching approach is practical, i.e. through a musical repertoire that appeals to the student, technical and musical skills are gradually built up. Theory is also worked on, always from an approach that favors students' practical development and musical independence.
I have 18 years' experience teaching guitar and music to different age groups.
I work with a repertoire of songs from many different cultures and styles. But if you're an admirer of Brazilian music, with me you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the language of the Brazilian guitar. :-)
