About Anya
I am a 20-year-old woman, currently studying a Bachelor of Education degree with TUS (Technological University of Shannon) and UL (University of Limerick.)
It has been a long-term ambition of mine to teach, and English literature has always been my passion. I love seeing students flourish and grow as they find their own style of writing and see each poem, play, or story in such an individualist manner.
I think the way English is often taught can encourage students to simply learn off as many answers as possible in the hopes that one will fit the question on the day. I would like to instead teach students how to confront, break down, and understand each question so they can answer in a way that is unique to it, furthering their own ability to analyze problems later in life.

In my classes, we will go through any papers, essays, or stories that you have written and pinpoint any problem areas that are repetitive. I will help you break down and understand exam questions so that instead of trying to memorize an answer, you are equipped to tackle questions with your own personal flair.
I achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert English and tutored other students to the same level. I am currently studying a full-time Bachelor of Education course with the overall goal of teaching in secondary schools.
These lessons are targeted to students approaching their Leaving Cert, from TY to 6th year. They will be online, and I will ask you to send me your work and study materials in advance so that I can assess and correct your essays prior to each lesson, where we will go through them together.
