With over 15 years of experience as an award-winning educator, I offer tutoring services grounded in research-based literacy strategies, differentiated instruction, and a student-centered approach. My teaching methods are designed to meet the diverse needs of learners by combining interactive read-alouds, scaffolded instruction, and engaging digital tools to build comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence. I specialize in working with K–12 students (especially Grades 3–8), English language learners, and students with IEPs or RTI plans, as well as supporting college freshmen and pre-service teachers in reading and curriculum development.
Each session follows a structured yet flexible format that includes a warm-up, focused mini-lesson, guided and independent practice, and reflective wrap-up. My lessons blend literacy with real-world relevance—often integrating subjects like social studies or educational justice literature to deepen understanding and spark curiosity.
