About Kara
I have dedicated eleven years to guiding more than 380 students through chemistry. My credentials include a master's in physical chemistry and industrial analytical laboratory experience. This background gives teaching practical edge. I have taught in sixth-form colleges universities and private settings. Many former students entered chemical analysis forensic science and pharmaceutical development. I am known for meticulous attention to detail and insistence on physical meaning behind calculations. I maintain extensive archives of past papers and revision guides. Outside of teaching I enjoy history of chemistry and home brewing. I believe chemistry rewards patience and precision.

My approach treats chemistry as rigorous quantitative science built on physical principles. I ensure students have solid understanding of mole concept equations and stoichiometry. For physical chemistry I emphasize derivation and physical meaning of equations. Thermodynamics is taught through energy cycles and connections to engines. Kinetics involves analyzing data to determine rate laws. I use graphing and data analysis extensively teaching interpretation of spectroscopic and chromatographic results. Laboratory safety and technique are discussed alongside theory. For exam preparation I teach systematic frameworks for complex calculations. Students learn to check work through dimensional analysis and logical consistency.
