About Kathleen
Hi There!
My name is Kathleen, I am originally from the U.S. and have been living in Ireland for the last 6 years working in Academic Research, Community Development, and Community Education.
I have an undergraduate degree in History from Manhattan College in NYC where I tutored students on history, english, study skills, and writing. After graduation, I worked in case management, employment and training, and education with a diverse group of clients and students in non traditional settings.
I obtained my Masters in Sociology with a focus on criminology from UCC as a George J Mitchell Scholar where I volunteered teaching history and geography to leaving cert students. I am currently an Academic Researcher at University College Cork's Department of Sociology and Criminology.
I believe learning should be fun and challenge students to think critically. All my lessons are tailored to the needs of the student and focused on transferrable study skills.
