About Joanne
Martial arts has been a part of my life since I was 4 years old, and it has truly shaped who I am today. As a 26-year-old woman, I know how empowering it is to not only protect myself but also to have the confidence and mental strength to face any challenge that comes my way. Being strong and capable doesn’t just help me on the mat – it carries over into every part of my life. I’m proud to have earned two bronze national medals and one national gold medal in taekwondo, which have fueled my passion for the sport even further. When I’m not teaching martial arts, I work in healthcare, where I’m always focused on helping others feel their best, both physically and mentally. But my real passion? Inspiring others to experience the beauty of martial arts. It’s not just about the kicks and punches (though those are fun!) – it’s about the confidence and love you build for yourself as you train, improve, and grow. I’m here to show you that martial arts isn’t just for fighters – it’s for anyone who wants to feel stronger, more confident, and better equipped to take on life.

I offer 1-hour tailored sessions designed to meet your unique goals, whether you're looking to improve your fitness, learn self-defense, or enhance your current martial arts skills. My approach combines practical techniques with a focus on fitness and mental discipline, ensuring a holistic and effective training experience.
With 20 years of martial arts experience, I started training at the age of 4 and have developed a deep understanding of both the physical and mental aspects of martial arts. I teach using a combination of progressive drills, conditioning exercises, and sparring practice to build strength, agility, and technical skill. Each lesson is adapted to the individual’s level of experience and personal objectives, whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner.
As a Taekwondo 6th Dan Black Belt, with additional experience in kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and boxing, I bring over two decades of experience training individuals of all ages and skill levels. I’ve worked with clients aiming to improve fitness, learn self-defense, or refine martial arts techniques for competition.
I am available for both in-person and online lessons, offering the flexibility to train from the comfort of your own home or in a personal training setting. I aim to make each session fun, challenging, and goal-focused, providing the tools and encouragement needed for progress.
