About Cole
I am currently a fourth year Biochemistry & Molecular Biology student at Trent University. I also have a certificate in health sciences from Durham College. While I attended college, I tutored Calculus and Advanced Functions at the college level and for the past two years I have been tutoring grades 8 through 12 in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Science. My specialties are grades 11/12 Mathematics and Chemistry, so I have experience from multiple courses from different schools. After my degree, I will be attending teachers college as I plan to teach high school students.

I like to get an idea of which methods work best for my students, but in general I will prepare a lesson plan for the subject the student is studying in class. I then will go over all content with plenty of walk through examples. I tend to use visual aids and real world examples, especially in the sciences, to help students understand complicated concepts. I prepare worksheets to help students practice what they have learned in each lesson. The number and frequency of the worksheets depends on the complexity of the course. I also make quizzes and tests to help them prepare for the ones they will be taking in school. My approach to every student is different because all children learn differently, but I like to get students actively involved in each session rather then just speaking at them.
