About Abby

I am from a farming background and have grown up loving animals, the outdoors and science, I moved to Edinburgh a few years ago to study applied animal science. I hope to fill my spare time productively and make some extra income. I would love to meet new people and help and encourage those who may need it, spreading my love for studying.

About the lesson

I plan to adapt my teaching based off of your wishes and feedback according to what style of learner you are. I am personally a very visual/active learner and study using lots of visuals, questions and working backwards so I always recognise my weak points. My learning methods are mainly active recall using flashcards and a series of questions, followed by reviewing my notes and noticing weak points.
I hope to tutor each student at least hourly per week though I am flexible and open to more or less contact hours depending on your commitments. I have no qualifications or experience with tutoring, however, I have always been surrounded by like-minded peers who share my love for learning, I love a challenge and when friends come to me for help, I enjoy problem solving and teaching them through challenges by exchanging study techniques and notes. I am also a very chatty and approachable person as there is no silly question and enjoy helping others as much as possible.
