About Daire

I have always loved maths-related subjects and have wanted to study maths since I was in my 4th year. I achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert maths and Chemistry. I always enjoyed helping my classmates study maths & explaining maths problems to them. I also have a keen interest in sport, I was a 2-sport athlete in 6th year. Here I learned how to manage my time efficiently allowing me to excel in the classroom and on the pitch.

About the lesson

First up, I sit down with the student to figure out which topics are giving them trouble. Then, I break those topics down, explaining them step by step until they've got a solid grip on them. We start with easy questions and work our way up to the tougher ones. I also share some useful test-taking strategies to help them pick up as many marks as they can in exams. These sessions are an hour long.

Daire and I first met just after Christmas of last year. My older brother had recommended him. He helped me improve my maths grade from just about passing my Christmas exams to achieving a B in my junior cert.
