I personalise every lesson: starting with your child’s preferred learning style (visual, hands-on, etc.) and goals, whether GCSE grades, confidence boosts, or exam mastery. I review their exam board spec (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) to target weak spots precisely.
First, I assess their current level via quick diagnostics, then co-set a target grade. My lessons use active recall techniques to mimic exam pressure and lock in retention (proven 2x more effective than passive reading). I excel at breaking down tough topics (algebra, trigonometry, mechanics) with real-world hooks: e.g. calculating football trajectories or budgeting shopping deals to make maths relatable and fun.
We practise 100+ past paper questions, honing exam technique timing, structure, and mark scheme so students score higher under pressure. Flexible Scheduling for parents.
I’m friendly, patient and always encourage students to ask questions without feeling judged or rushed. I regularly update parents on progress, areas of improvement and what we’ll focus on next, so everyone feels informed and involved. Lessons are structured but relaxed, with plenty of chances to practise and make mistakes safely. I’m happy to adapt pace and difficulty each week, depending on school workload, mocks and upcoming tests. My aim is to make maths feel manageable, logical and even enjoyable.
Sessions customised for your child’s lasting success and confidence.
