About Eve
I am a second-year university student studying English Literature and Communications and Media. I have experience in teaching, tutoring and assisting students with their English skills from young children to adults. I am passionate about helping people and believe that teaching and learning should be a mutually beneficial experience based on engagement and enjoyment.

My lessons are designed to be engaging and fun, using games, videos and activities where possible as vehicles for learning. The lessons typically last 45-60 minutes, depending on each topic, as I feel this is appropriate for maintaining motivation and concentration and making the most of our time. My lessons can be designed and adapted based on students' ages and abilities, anywhere from ages 5 to 18.
I have some experience in TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language). However, my specialist teaching areas include reading comprehension, spelling and literacy. I received grade 8 in GCSE English Language, so I understand the method and requirements needed to achieve excellent grades in the reformed GCSE examinations. Moreover, I have been studying English Literature for the past 5 years, with a hope to graduate with a combined honours degree in 2023. Therefore, I have a lot of experience in the study of English Literature, including close analysis, comparison and essay writing, which I hope to pass on to my students.
Furthermore, I also have an academic history of media and film studies, with Communication and Media Studies being one of my specialist subjects at University. This includes the understanding and analysis of many media types and theories.

Details
Our first lesson together will be free for 30 minutes, as a chance to get to know each other better and what we aim to achieve in our sessions. My £5 travel fee is to cost the cover of a bus ticket to the location of in person lessons. Online lessons are slightly cheaper at £8. In person lessons will allow for a more interactive, activity based approach.
