About Chanith

I have always enjoyed teaching as I understand the impact you can have on a young learner's education. I have been to many different teaching institutions for both learning and teaching, so I am familiar with the different teaching styles and understand which ones were the most effective for me. I studied English, Mathematics, Physics, and Accounting at Auckland Grammar School. I studied these subjects at A Level (Cambridge). My grades for Cambridge exams were: Mathematics - A star, Accounting - A star, Physics - A.

As a 2nd-year University of Auckland student majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics, I bring a blend of academic rigor and practical application to my tutoring sessions. My teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that understanding the "why" behind mathematical concepts is just as crucial as mastering the "how." This approach not only aids in solving problems but also nurtures a deeper appreciation for the subject. My lessons are usually between 1-2 hours. I have been tutoring for 3 years now, both privately and for institutes like Kids Power, Kumon, and Cluey Learning. My classes are specifically designed for students in Years 1 to 11, with a particular focus on Years 6 to 10.
