About Tima

G'day! My name is Fatima, and I’m a 2nd-year medical student, and I would like to say I'm a pretty adaptable + approachable tutor/person with a strong academic background. Having been in your school shoes fairly recently, I love helping students grow in both confidence and ability. I received grades 8-9 for my Sciences and English at GCSE and an A for Chemistry and Biology at A-level. I also have thorough experience with public speaking and received awards for my public speaking and being a part of the debate group throughout secondary and high school, so I can use my experience to help you build those skills for yourself.

About the lesson

Personally, my style is adaptive- based on the student’s level + need. I break down topics to simple steps using real-life examples. I strongly encourage open discussion, especially for writing + speaking. During my gap year, I worked with children in educational settings, developing my ability to adapt to learning styles/levels. I’ve also tutored peers and younger students both informally + through school support schemes, helping students prepare for exams by creating study plans and reviewing key topics with them. My lessons are targeted towards GCSE students but I teach Science + English for younger students too. Whether you’re aiming to up your grades, prepare for exams, or just better your understanding, I’m here to offer support for those steps.
