I feel 1 hour is the most productive lesson length. It allows the tutee to fully absorb practice and develop skills without the fear of burnout or fatigue. Moreover the most efficient learning method i have found is by using practice questions and understanding the method to dissect the problem step by step. And then by learning the relevantinformation and applying it at the same time. By doing so you are not just understanding the concept but also becoming familiar with how to use that understanding to answer the relevant questions.
