About Anton

Hello! I’m Anton, a second-year MEng Computer Science student at Durham University, with a first-class mark in my first year. I finished school with A*A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths, Russian, and Computer Science respectively. Despite being the weakest student in my class in Year 12, I turned my grades around by aiming for Durham. My journey proves that determination and the right strategies can transform academic performance. I’m passionate about helping GCSE and A Level students achieve their goals in mathematics, offering personalised tutoring to unlock their full potential. On top of my academic excellence, I have extensive experience working with children in martial arts instruction, childcare and summer camps. I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, obtained June 2024, and Safeguarding Children Level 1 qualified.

About the lesson

I offer personalised GCSE and A Level Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science tutoring, focusing on each student’s unique needs and learning styles. My teaching methodology combines clear explanations, practical problem-solving techniques, and regular assessments to track progress and adjust the learning plan as needed. Having recent A Level exam experience, I provide valuable insights and effective exam techniques to help students excel. I aim to build confidence and foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Each lesson typically lasts one hour, providing a balance between thorough instruction and maintaining student engagement. My journey from weakest student in class to top performer equips me with the empathy and strategies to help others succeed. I have extensive experience working with children in the form of martial arts instruction, childcare and working in summer camps. I have an Enhanced DBS obtained in June 2024, and Safeguarding Children Level 1 qualified. My lessons are tailored for GCSE and A Level students, typically aged 14-18, who seek to improve their skills and achieve excellent grades in Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science.
